Why are we so affordable? We are a not-for-profit charity seeking to facilitate new and exciting connections. We provide high-quality basics - a comfortable working environment, superfast internet and great fairly traded coffee and teas with ethically-sourced plant-based milk and snacks available, but without the whistles and bells you may get in other places such as fancy printers, digital check-in, etc. Our pricing is based on a low-admin model. While we scrimp on bureaucracy, we excel in friendliness with weekly bring-and-share lunches to help you connect with other creatives in our building.

  • Do you live in Birmingham and care about sustainability, localism, creativity, community wellbeing or similar?

  • Do you want to work alongside others who share similar values?

Co-working at The Transfer is a cost-effective way of having a dedicated workspace.

A quiet and professional but really friendly co-working environment which is ideal for those who have distractions at home or want to avoid travelling further to work.

About The Transfer

The Transfer is a friendly and professional co-working space in which freelancers and remote workers can get on with their own projects in a calm and productive place. The Transfer allows members to escape the distractions and procrastination of home or the office.

  • We provide fairly traded filter coffee and teas at no extra cost.

  • The Transfer has two private meeting rooms available for hire (with reductions for members), a dedicated desk room and a printer. Meeting room bookings here.

  • There is fast free WiFi.

  • If you don’t eat lunch at your desk or go out to eat, many members choose to break for a shared lunch on Wednesdays, where pooled contributions often result in a feast. This is great if you want some down time, before getting back refreshed to work.

  • Alternatively The MIX Community Cafe, in our building, provides a laid-back venue for great affordable vegetarian and vegan food. it is run by The GAP Arts Project, and by eating there you are supporting their amazing charity.

  • We would love it if you cycled, walked or used public transport to get to us and our pricing incentivises this. We have plenty of covered cycle parking. If you need to access us by car, we have only disabled parking on site but there is on-street parking nearby.

  • Our co-working space is on the first floor, and unfortunately we do not yet have a lift. We are working to try to get some funding to resolve this.

INTRODUCTORY OFFERS
